Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management, project management, and cost control, along with proficiency in industry-standard software.
Duties
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using excel templates and Trimble estimating.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing for materials and services.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Provide support in the preparation of bids and proposals for potential projects.

  • Proficiency in plumbing and HVAC systems for effective estimating processes.

  • Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and practices.

  • Strong negotiation skills to work with vendors and subcontractors for favorable pricing.
  • Develop HVAC and mechanical pipe estimates for establishing bids for submission to General Contractors and owners, using estimating software.
  • Gather bids from subcontractors and venders for inclusion in bids
